I've Been Recovering from Oral Surgery.
For the past few days I've been basically spending my days in bed with heating pads on my face, pain medications, soups, water, my diary, and of course my phone to talk to Cameron when I'm awake. I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out, which I don't remember a lot of that day. I wasn't really nervous to go under because I've had surgery before, but I was just nervous about the pain afterwards. I guess that when I was waking up from the anestesia (I barely remember this) I was just sitting there crying, which is normal for girls. I didn't cry my first time, but most girls cry and most boys pass out.
I've been drinking these chocolate gluten free Protein shakes called Boost, which are actually really good. I've also been drinking a lot of different soups like broccoli soup and sweet pea soup, which were pretty good. I've also been sleeping a LOT. Actually last night I woke up around 10:30 and did some math homework until about midnight! I still have some I need to do tomorrow though. I wish I could brush my teeth easier, and I wish my face didn't hurt really bad. I haven't been to any classes since last Monday but it would have been more enjoyable without that pain all through my jaw area. I've never had stitches before, so it's kind of weird to have them in my mouth. I'm worried that food is going to get in there somehow and I'll end up with infected gums. But I've been rinsing with salt water which is supposed to help prevent that.
I can't wait to see Cameron next Friday! I haven't seen him since I spent four days with him last weekend. We normally Skype every night... at LEAST once a day but lately I haven't been Skyping with him too much because he makes me laugh so easilly. Just smiling hurts a lot right now so I'm trying not to Skype. I love talking to him, but I just can't help smiling and laughing pretty much the entire time, which is painful at the moment so, it's probably not a good idea until my mouth feels better.
I can't wait to get my new camera. Right now I have an Olympus which isn't bad, but I'd like a Nikon or Canon something. My camera is good in outdoor lighting, when the object I'm taking a photo of isn't moving. So it's fine if I'm taking posed pictures of people, or flowers... but if I want photos of moving objects it's almost impossible to get a good shot no matter what settings I use. Once I get a better camera and photoshop on my laptop I'm going to start posting my photography again. I used to have a tumblr and everything for my little "photography business" I was starting, but I really need a better camera and photoshop to be able to start anything real. I'm going to call it "Ryann Spring Photo" and it will be a Photography and Old Photo Repair Business. I LOVE fixing up old photos on photoshop. That was my favorite part of my photoshop class. They are both things that I love to do, so I think I'll do pretty well.
The only thing about starting my photography business is that I want to make it freelance photography. Would people buy my photos? My dream job for my entire life has always been to be able to travel the world, taking amazing photos, and getting paid to do it. I've always thought it'd be amazing to work for National Geographic or something. I'd love to take photos in South Africa, Austrailia, Egypt, you name it I want to see it. I've already been to Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. I absolutely loved all those places and I would go again given the chance.
So back to the freelance photography business, if I were to take a bunch of great photos, blow them up so you could hang them on your wall and what not, would you buy them? And should I always put a watermark on the photos too? I don't even know where to begin with everything.
My dream job is to be a freelance photographer. What's yours?
